When to perform a CT scan of the temporomandibular joints?

He remains motionless for several seconds – during this time the camera will make a rotation around the examined joints. The results are available immediately after the examination.

We perform CT scans of the temporomandibular joints in Wroclaw using the modern RAYSCAN α+ scanner from Esdent, with a dynamic imaging field and the highest resolution. The tomograph with a light indicator allows you to precisely adjust the imaging field individually for each patient, and thus reduce exposure to X-rays to a minimum.
During tomography of the temporomandibular joints, we take a functional picture – in occlusion (in habitual bite, with the mouth closed) and opening (with the mouth open). This allows us to visualize the anatomical structure of the joint as accurately as possible, as well as any degenerative or post-traumatic changes or functional or anatomical abnormalities.
